Andrew Hargraves is a minor character in When Calls the Heart. He is portrayed by David Lewis.
Background[]
Hargraves was Nathan Grant's superior officer at Fort Clay. Hargraves also knew Bill from his time in the Mounties. There seemed to be bad blood between him and Nathan. He disciplined Nathan for disobeying orders, which meant Nathan was suspended from the training mission in which Jack took his place, and ultimately lost his life.
Storyline[]
Season 8[]
Season 11[]
Hargraves closed the investigation into Lucas’s shooting before Nathan thought it should be. He arrived in Hope Valley unexpectedly, asking to speak to Elizabeth and interrupting a romantic moment between her and Nathan.
Season 12[]
Hargraves gave Elizabeth the Commissioner's Medal that Jack had received years ago. It had been lost until a road crew excavated the site where the landslide occurred in which Jack died. After having observed the fact that Nathan and Elizabeth were romantically involved, Hargraves made a cutting remark directed toward Nathan about Jack not being "easily replaced" and instructed him to take care of Elizabeth. Nathan tried not to let the remark bother him, but it was difficult.
