Season 10[]
Edwin Mitchel first arrived in Hope Valley as Governor Bixby Balfour's advance man and assistant. At first, he posed as a tourist before revealing his true purpose for being in town. Edwin tangled with the children of Hope Valley regarding sharing time at the hot springs. He spent a lot of time at the hot springs and attended the barbecue with his wife. After Lucas decided to run for governor to unseat Balfour, Edwin became his campaign manager and helped him win the election.
Season 11[]
After Lucas's attempted assassination on Election Night, Edwin stayed with him during his recovery in the hospital. He alerted Lucas's friends in Hope Valley about what had happened, and assisted Lucas with his radio broadcast from the hospital room.
Edwin fully supported the resort project, and pushed for Lucas to continue with it even when things began to unravel. He and Henry clashed over this issue. After Lucas canceled the resort project, the newspapers started calling for his resignation, which led to Edwin ditching Lucas and leaving town.
Season 12[]
Edwin appeared on the train that Lucas and Lee were taking to Capital City. He pushed his way into their conversation, offering his services for the national park.[1]
