Emily Montgomery is a recurring character in the drama series When Calls the Heart. She is portrayed by Gracyn Shinyei.
Background[]
Emily is Cat Montgomery's youngest child and one of Elizabeth's students. Her father, Joseph, died in the mine disaster in 1910.

In the autumn of 1921, Emily began her final year at The Jack Thornton School, along with Timmy and Angela, who were also in their final year.[1] Emily was planning to attend teacher's college, but also showed an interest in business and economics. She did not take part in the comic book craze that swept Hope Valley, but preferred to read business magazines. Emily came up with an idea to use music to help motivate herself and her friends while they were shelling hazelnuts. Henry wanted to put her in charge of his new hazelnut business.[2]
