Frank Hogan, formerly known as Matt Landry, was a former member of the Garrison Gang. He left a life of crime to become a pastor. He and Jesse Flynn knew each other from their past association with the gang.
Storyline[]
Season 2[]
Pastor Frank arrived in Hope Valley just in time to expose a con artist posing as a pastor, and to perform the wedding ceremony for Mary and Dewitt Graves.
Season 3[]
Pastor Frank's secret past catches up with him and causes a stir within Hope Valley. He left the town without an explanation when his position as pastor was terminated in a secret emergency meeting with the Pastoral Committee initiated by Mayor Gowen. After some persuasion from Abigail Stanton, he did come back to provide an explanation to the community. He was then reinstated as pastor after being voted in by everyone present.
Season 4[]
Frank successfully assists Jack and Bill in preventing a robbery ambush. When Abigail finds out he went on a dangerous assignment without informing her, she was visibly upset. This strains their relationship.
Frank manages to save the bank from being robbed.
He and Abigail make up with the help from Cody Stanton.
Season 5[]
Pastor Frank returned to officiate Jack and Elizabeth’s wedding. Frank felt a calling to work at a children’s hospital in Cape Fullerton, so he left Hope Valley soon after the wedding. He and Abigail ended their relationship.
