Storyline[]
WHC Season 1[]
Helen lived at New Hope Orphanage after the death of her parents. Her grandfather, Edward Martin, was her only living relative, and he'd been trying to find her. Lillian had to search through Mountie records to find Edward's information. Lillian contacted Edward, and he sent his attorney to ask Helen some questions to verify her identity. At first, she was unable to remember some key information, and the attorney was about to leave town without her. After a little time passed, Helen was able to recall more information for the attorney, which proved she was the true Helen MacNeil. The plan was for Helen to travel to London with a chaperone, but unfortunately, Helen began experiencing severe fear and anxiety about traveling by boat because of how her parents died. After speaking with Maggie, Grace and Lillian realized that Helen needed to travel with someone she knew and trusted. Grace offered to accompany her on the journey, so she and Helen left Brookfield and traveled to London to reunite Helen with her grandfather.
