Joy Gregory is an American writer and producer. She has been a writer and executive producer on When Calls the Heart since Season 12. Joy is also the current showrunner, having taken over after the departure of Lindsay Sturman.
Biography[]
Joy Gregory grew up in a blue-collar, Polish family in Cleveland, the daughter of a steelworker father who later worked for General Electric. The family attended St. Leo the Great Parish, where she made her first Communion and was confirmed in the Catholic Church. She attended Northwestern University.[1]
Joy is known for television shows such as Felicity, Joan of Arcadia, and Madam Secretary. She is currently a writer and executive producer on When Calls the Heart. Going into Season 13, Joy is now the showrunner, having taken over for Lindsay Sturman, with whom she shared some showrunning duties during Season 12.
