Michael Fletcher is a main character in Season 2 of the drama series When Hope Calls. He is portrayed by Christopher Russell.

Michael “Fearless” Fletcher was a member of the RCMP who was known for tracking and capturing many dangerous criminals. His work resulted in him being injured. The injuries eventually caused him to take medical leave and then take a less dangerous posting in Brookfield.
Storyline[]
WHC Season 2[]
After Constable Kinslow was assigned to a mission out of town, Michael was sent to fill in for him. Michael had been on medical leave after sustaining a number of injuries while catching criminals. Some of the townspeople had heard tales of Michael’s brave deeds.
One of his first actions as constable of Brookfield was to save a little girl from being hit by a car. He jumped from the hotel balcony in order to save her. This prompted Ronnie to convince the rest of the town council to award Michael with the key to the town, which he promptly handed to Charlotte, who had found a lost filly by using her keen sense of hearing.
Ronnie tried his best to get on Michael’s good side by offering free dinner and by bringing various ideas to his attention that he thought could improve public safety. Michael didn’t accept the free meal, but was willing to hear Ronnie out when he brought his ideas.
At the hotel, Michael was eating lunch when he first met Nora, who almost stepped in a puddle left by a spilled drink. He put his napkin down so she wouldn’t get her shoes wet. Later, he and Nora bumped into each other while she was holding a cup of coffee, which caused her to spill it all over her shirt.
When Nora got word of an orphan who was in a detention facility in Clearwater, she traveled there with Michael. When they stopped for lunch, Michael advised they stay in the wagon, but Nora wanted to sit on the grass. A rattlesnake appeared, and Michael carried Nora to safety. Unfortunately, he was bitten in the process. Michael tried to downplay the snakebite, but Nora was worried and insisted he go see Maggie.
