Nora Avery (née Wilder) is the ex-wife of Bill Avery. She appeared in the second and third seasons of When Calls the Heart. She was also a love interest of Henry Gowen back in Hamilton before he moved to Coal Valley.
Background[]
Nora was devastated by the death of her son Martin and consequently left Bill Avery (her husband) so she could grieve. In season 2, she shows up to confront Abigail Stanton about seeing her husband. Later, it's revealed that Bill had been looking for Nora after she left and found her caring for her ill father Jonas. Bill was upset with Nora because he felt Martin was every bit his son as he was Nora's son and thought they should've grieved together instead of separately.
