Sam Tremblay is a main character in the drama series When Hope Calls. He is portrayed by Marshall Williams in Season 1 and Jon McLaren in Season 2.

Sam returned to Brookfield after being away prospecting for months. He and Maggie were happy to see each other, but their reunion was a bit awkward since her parents were nearby and they hadn't discussed their feelings for each other yet. Sam had a long beard and looked disheveled at first, but soon got cleaned up. Maggie's parents, especially her father, didn't approve of him and tried to get her to leave Brookfield in order to separate them.[1]
Sam met privately with Nora, which at first appeared to Maggie like he might be interested in her. However, it was simply a business relationship in her capacity as a lawyer. After Maggie's parents left for their travels, Sam found Maggie at the infirmary, giving her a necklace which he called an "early birthday present." He thanked her for being there for him, and revealed that he'd struck gold and was now rich. He asked to take her to dinner as an official date, which she happily accepted.[2]
