The Cafe (formerly Abigail's Cafe) serves fine meatloaves and fresh bakes. The cafe was co-opened by Abigail Stanton and Henry Gowen. The Café changed hands when Bill Avery bought out Henry Gowen's share of the cafe.
When Abigail left town to care for her sick mother, Bill continued to run the cafe with the assistance of Clara Flynn, and later on, Minnie Canfield as well.
Minnie Canfield bought out Abigail’s share of the business in 1919, and in 1921, Abigail’s Cafe was renamed The Cafe.
